Celebrate
Our New Campus
On September 9, 2010, Room In The Inn officially opened the doors of its new campus in downtown Nashville and celebrated alongside its homeless neighbors, city and state leaders and Room In The Inn’s staff, volunteers, participants and friends.
Guests were invited in for guided tours of the beautiful, spacious and state-of-the-art campus, Nashville’s only single-site of services addressing homelessness.
The new campus is located at 705 Drexel Street at 8th Avenue South.

Room In The Inn’s Impact
Room In The Inn, in partnership with more than 170 local congregations, provided shelter for 1,286 individuals from November 2009 to March 2010.
Last year, with the help of approximately 5,000 volunteers, giving almost 150,000 hours of service and driving nearly 230,000 miles, Room In The Inn’s congregational shelter program provided more than 30,000 beds, more than 24,000 showers and served more than 61,000 meals and almost 31,000 snacks/lunches to our homeless guests.
In the last year, our Campus’ onsite support services team of staff and volunteers helped 500 people obtain identification and provided 4,200 bus passes, 8,000 meals and approximately 5,000 showers. Currently, more than 1,000 individuals receive mail at Room In The Inn’s Campus.

Volunteer and Giving Opportunities
With the opening of a larger facility and expansion of services, Room In The Inn’s need for volunteers has doubled.
As we work to sustain the quality of our services and to provide for our guests, our need for supplies, donations and in-kind gifts grows every day.
And as we enter Phase II of our capital campaign and begin renovating our existing 20,000-square-foot facility, our need for financial support remains.
We invite you to shine your light and join the many in our community who have already dedicated time, skill, care and resources to address the needs of our neighbors struggling with homelessness.
Everyone has the potential to help someone else on his or her journey home, and Room In The Inn offers many opportunities to get involved. Please click here to learn more.
